Double Sideband Suppressed Carrier(DSB-SC) is a AM modulation technique in which both the upper band and lower band are transmitted. This means that power is wasted in sending information using this modulation technique. Since information to be sent is embedded on both the sideband it is unncessary to send both the upper and lower band. DSB-SC AM modulation is the first kind of radio modulation technique and was used in early days of communication. Nowadays it is not used in professional radio. SC means suppressed carrier.

We can easily create DSB-SC modulation model in Matlab simulink. In the following video this modelling steps are shown. In the tutorial video we consider that the message signal has frequency of 200Hz and carrier signal frequency is 1500Hz.
