Python is a scripting object oriented programming language. In python everything is an object and belongs to certain classes. There are inbuilt object data types which means the python programming language has predefined object data types. This means you do not need to create your own data types like numbers, strings, arrray, list etc. The following are built in data types in Python.

As you know you can also create your own classes and objects. See Python class example and explanation and Understanding python class, object and __init__ method with examples. But for above data types you don't need to create data types. That is for numbers, strings, boolean etc as well as object and classes for working with program units like functions and modules, files etc.
